My first thought when I saw this was "cool! ice!", with the lack of reflection initially disguising it as opaque. My second thought was that it would be cool to draw it. This, possibly inspired by Mr. Armin Mersmann's broken light bulb." As an artist yourself, the rest of his gallery might be entertaining to you as well. I find interest in how you've chosen to assemble the pieces. Making a pattern (or rather, a planned shape) but no piece being in place as if a puzzle. There's a longer version of why I think you did it this way, but since I promise to never make you cry on purpose, boring you to tears is out of the question. =)
This concept would also be great in color with an interesting texture behind it, such as skin or a fine fabric. I love this picture. <3
